Yes,ti’s we who practice teleology, not God! We make our own purposes. We do things. T’is not that people who practice the superstition of religion just let God do it,but ti’s they out of their own inner resources do things without Him!
As Strato would note that ti’s a non sequitur to bewail that oh, poor we, without Him we are purposeless and forlorn. Why subject oneself to that wailing when ti’s ones own responsibilityi to find meanings and purposes for oneself. When people wail that they need Him for a purposeful life, they are insisting that they in effect are His clay and as the potter, He bestows what He wil on them as one would with ones pets! This blashpemes humanity!
We as Lamberth’s argument from morality notes are free being owing no other being worship!
We need to advanc from reduced animism to full skepticism and naturalism!
What do you maintain?

Baron d'Holbach

Francisco Jose Ayala wails that most people need God for their values and purpose in ” Darwin and Intelligent Design.” No! We ourselves are responsible for our values and purposes. Are we required to use telepathy to find out His values and purposes for us? We can  ground them in our experiences. He avers elsewhere that we need Him to overcome dread and find purpose. Seek therapy to overcome any dread. Our own purposes and human love and this one life suffice! No divine purpose and divine love and the future state can validate us. And Augustine in spite of,  no evidence exists for the argument from angst that we need Him,and none exists for the happiness-purpose argument.

We find teleonomy-mechanism- no wanted outcomes than teleology-purpose-intent per Lamberth’s  teleonomic argument. Thus, we have no need of Him to explain why things happen,no more than we need demons to be the over-arching cause of  mental illness…
